I chose to find some resources for an upcoming unit for my US History class on Native Americans, I found this cool document signed by all the Hopi leaders asking for the titles to their lands instead of allotting each tribal member. It comes from the National Archives, so since it is a federal document it has no copyright restrictions, but I checked their copyright FAQ anyways, and this confirmed it is open, but they did say “Therefore, no written permission is required to use them. We would appreciate your crediting the National Archives and Records Administration as the original source.”

Here is an image – each tribal leader used their individual symbol to sign, sweet hey?!Image
